Murano, a very famous town since medieval times for the manufacturing of glass, the Glass Museum and the School of design applied to the art of glass. Murano is packed with glass making factories, gift shops and showrooms. Once there, you will be shown the oldest technique used originally by the Ancient Romans on how to work the glass.
The guide will tell you about a place which for centuries remained unchanged and bring you back to the time when Venice was powerful and known as the city of merchants. In fact she was one of the “Repubbliche Marinare”. A beautiful and intense 5/h walk between the major attractions of the city learning about the history and all the curiosity of Palazzo Ducale, Basilica and Piazza San Marco, in order to rich the famous “Canal Grande” main navigable artery crossed by the most famous bridge of Venice “Ponte di Rialto” originally made out wood rebuilt in stone by the end of the XVI century.
